Jokes:)

It's sunshining!:)  And it's 61 degrees!:) So, I'm sitting inside blogging about the wonderful weather and wearing my new Anthem Lights Covers songs on my phone:) I haven an excuse though! Peyton is doing school, mom is helping, and I don't want to sit outside all by myself. Last summer we had some great friends to hang with next door:) Lydia from http://formyownsatisfaction.blogspot.com/ and her little brothers (three to be exact). One of things we did was exchange jokes:) Mostly blonde jokes:) Of course, we meant nothing of them! I'm just as blonde as any other girl, despite the fact that I have brown hair! But, most of them were hilarious! So, I wanted to share some of our favorites with you:)

1.  A blonde, brunette, and red head were running from the police. They found three barrels and jumped into them. The police came to the first one. "Ruff Ruff!" The brunette barked. They came to the second and the red head meowed. Finally, they came to the third one. "Potatoes!" The blonde said. (Sam, one of Lydia's brothers, told a different variation of this joke.)

2. A blonde was driving and hit a truck. The driver had her pull into an empty parking lot. He took a piece of chalk and drew a circle on the ground. He told her to stand it the circle and not to come out of it. Furious, the truck driver took a knife and slashed the tires of the blonde's car. He looked at her and she as smiling. He grabbed a hammer and started beating on her car. She was giggling. He was livid at this point so her broke all of her windows and keyed her car. By this time she was laughing hysterically. The truck driver asked her what was so funny. She replied, "When you weren't looking I stepped out of the circle three times!"
3. (This one's not really a blonde joke but still funny!) A man was sitting in a salon and a red head walked in. "Excuse me, how do you get your hair so red?" He asked. The red head ran her fingers through her hair and said, "It's natural." Next, a brunette walked in. He asked her the same question. Her answer was the same. Then, a green haired girl walked in. He, again, asked her this question. She wiped her nose with he hand and ran her fingers through her hair saying, "It's natural."

And now the grand finale! I heard this story yesterday! Yes, it is a true story about a blonde girl!

4. A blonde went grocery shopping wither her mother-in-law. They put the groceries in the back seat and her mother-in-law went in another place. The blonde decided to stay in the car. Not long later she heard a loud noise and felt a pain in her head. Reaching back to feel her head, she felt something squishy. She passed out. Someone came by the car and saw her. Thinking that she might be asleep they went in and did what they needed to do. When they came out they checked on her again. This time she was awake.
 "Are you ok?" They asked.
"No," she replied, "I've been shot in the head and I'm holding my brains in."
Frantically, they called 911 for her. The ambulance got there and had to break into her car because she refused to move her hands. Once they got in they mad her move her hands and laughed. In the heat a can of biscuits exploded and hit her in the head. The squishy thing that she felt was a biscuit stuck to her hair!

Those are just some of the ones we shared. If you have any funny jokes feel free to leave them in the comments below:)

Next To Last Time You See This. For Real This Time.

Merrie Melodies: **More ways to enter the 100th Post Giveaway!!!!!*...: Ok, so I lied. Actually I just misread the information. It doesn't end until tomorrow, so tomorrow will actually be the last time you see this!

It Will Be Worth It In The End. I Hope.

Who new redecorating a room could be so much work! We (me and mom) spent the whole day painting my room and bookshelf and we're still not done! We did take quite a few five minute breaks because the paint fumes were really bothering us! We mainly just have touch-ups, but we still have a little bit on the bookshelf to do. Me and my crazy ideas! Wanting to go from pink, purple, lime green, and blue walls to red, beige, and black (that's a color scheme I never thought could work so well!!)! The painting begun at 10:00 this morning and we quit at 10:00 at night. I somehow managed to get black paint on my forearm and (again with the bright ideas) tried to use fingernail polish remover to get it off. All that did was make it worse! Mom said that toothpaste took hers off pretty good, but I can't stand to have sticky stuff on me! Even when I was little I couldn't stand to have sticky hands or fingers! So I scrubbed at it and managed to get most of it off. We still have to put up all the decor as well, but that wont be able to happen until I buy it all! So far the whole redecoration process has consisted of: a much needed deep cleaning, rearranging, selling almost all of my old decor, making a cute little "My Stash" mason jar with a moustache on it to put all of my "bedroom funds" money in, buying all new bedding and decor(incomplete), buying paint, painting, deciding where to put the few things I have bought, putting them there, vigilant eBay watching/checking for decor, looking for decor at other places, and other things I'm sure I'm missing. It's a very tiring process! I'll post pics once we get the finished project:) Until then fell free to guess the theme I went with:) The only hints you get are the colors I mentioned earlier in this post. They probably don't help that much though:)

Happy Guessing:)

Next to last time you see this!

Summer Traditions, Spoiler Alerts, and Smileys!:)

My weekend started yesterday and I spent the better part of the day babysitting our friend's gorgeous baby girl:) With the help of my mom since it was my first time really babysitting:) I love kids:) Today was a good day, too:) It was the first warm day in a long time! It got up in the 70's!:) We spent most of the day outside:) I read on the back porch, we played crochet, grilled, and my headphones only left my ears for the short time it took us to eat:) Which we did outside:) I was second place in crochet after being dead last for half the game...which made me happy:) Peyton, not so much.  I'm currently reading Uncommon Criminals by Ally Carter:) At first I thought she had the story progressing too quickly, then I realized why! It happened around page 100. !!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!
Kat gets conned! :O I know! I was shocked, too! After reading that I ran over to my mom to tell her!:) That's my way out of book reports since I'm home schooled:) I just tell her about what happens:) The we grilled bratwursts with grilled onions and green bell peppers:) Grilling in the summer is like a tradition for us:) We grill something every time daddy is off:) I also started my other Summer traditions: Listening to music as much a possible and wearing flip flops or going barefoot unless I absolutely cannot. So all in all it was a really good day:) I also realised that I like to punctuate my sentences with smiley faces instead of actual punctuation. That might be a bad habit. I've actually tried to do that when writing my book before! Now we're gonna sit down and watch tv:) There I go again with the smileys.

Wonka Showdown: Original vs. Remake

"Oh, well, then you know all about it an what a terrible country it is. Nothing but desolate wastes and fierce beasts. And the poor little Oompa Loompas were so small and helpless, they would get gobbled up right and left. A Wangdoodle would eat ten of them for breakfast and think nothing of it. And so I said, 'Come live with  me in peace and safety, away from all the Wangdoodles, and Hornswogglers, and Snozzwangers, and rotten, Vermicious Knids." -Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

"Once again you really shouldn't mumble, 'cause it's kinda starting to bum me out." Willy Wonka, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005)

Who hasn't seen one of these movies? If you haven't then it's probably safe to say you've been living under a rock. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory is a classic. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Tim Burton's  remake.  A lot of people I have talked to like the original better. I can see why, it's the original, based on the book, all that jazz. But I also see the other side, Tim Burton, in my opinion, is one of the best directors. Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore are great actors. Helena Bonham Carter is in it, too, for all you Potterheads out there:) She plays Mrs. Bucket. It's nice to see her play a good character, versus an evil one like she was in Harry Potter. Me? I'm neutral. I love them both:) They each have their pros and cons, and there are things I like more about the first one, and things I like more about the remake, but I just can't choose a favorite.

So let's talk the original. Amazing actors in my opinion. They all played their parts nicely. It's very well made, I love the music in it, and I love when Grandpa Joe gets out of bed and walks for the first time in years:) Veruca is such a brat! "But daddy, I want it now!" HA! She got what she deserved! A nice little trip to the trash. And, of course, she just couldn't go with out daddy. The boat part used to scare me really bad. I don't really know why,  just always got freaked when it got to that part. One of the things I like more about this one is that there is a test to win the factory. In the remake it's just whoever doesn't end up having the Oompa Loompas sing about then. In this one they really have to prove that they deserve to win. They have to be 100% honest with Mr. Wonka and give him back the gobstopper. Just about my only complaint is that Charlie doesn't have dad. I like that better about the remake. He has a dad that tries to support them, but he just can't. And the factory is soooo much cooler!!:) And I like the squirrels better than the geese.

Now, on to the remake. I love the music in this one!:) Except the song they sing about Veruca. That one is a little annoying. I hate the puppets, though! They freak me out! I love all the extra detail they give about Willy Wonka's past. It adds dimension to his character. But, honestly, it's hard for me to think of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka. I guess I've just seen him as a rum-drinking, insane, swash-buckling pirate for too long. I love Freddie Higmore, though! He is one of my favorite British actors! I've seen him in The Spiderwick Chronicles, August Rush, and Five Children and It. And he is good in all of them! I don't really like Grandpa Joe much in this one. He doesn't sing. Haha:) But that's not why. The guy in the original is just a better actor.

I feel like I'm on a picture overload haha:) Kinda crowded! I got picture happy:) And spellcheck doesn't like all these names! Or my hahas.
So, tell me which one you like better and why or why not:)

Writing a book is hard!!

Writing a book can be so hard sometimes. Like, when you have that problem where you just can't write. I refuse to call it writer's block because I have plenty of things to write. Things that will be very important to the story. I just have no motivation whatsoever to continue the story. I've let it defeat me too many times on too many stories and I refuse to let it win once again. I really need to get past it because it has been way too long since the last time I sat down and actually wrote something. If you've ever had this problem, how did you get past it. I've been reading and writing on other things. I heard that reading and writing other things helps, but I hasn't for me. Any other ideas?

Giants, Six Fingers, and a Pig King, Oh my!

"Goodnight, Westly. Good work. Sleep well. I'll most likely kill you in the morning."  -Ryan, The Princess Bride

"Don't worry, I won't let it go to my head."

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

If you've ever seen The Princess Bride or read the book I automatically put on my "Cool People" list. I've only seen it three times total, two times tonight:) The end credits are rolling as I blog:) I've come to the conclusion that Westley is very optimistic. I made the assumption as they were entering the Fire Swamp. I have to say, he is one of the most interesting characters I've seen. Oh and I just loved the little boy, "Do we have to read the kissing parts?" But my favorite parts of the whole movie are the parts where he's battling Inigo, Fezzik, and Vizzini. The sword fight, hand-to-hand combat, and a battle of wits:) The Man in Black seems so sure of himself and has a handle of the situation the whole time. I loved how both Westley and Inigo fought with their left hands to give their opponent a fighting chance. Such chivalry:)
